Hongcun is a village in Anhui province in eastern China; it is located at the foothill of Mount Huangshan (Yellow Mountains). The village is famous for its ancient architecture and carvings of residence houses built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Together with Xidi village it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Part of the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was shot in Hongcun village.
