Husavik is a tiny town on the eastern shores of The Skjalfandi Bay in Northern Iceland. It is a commercial centre; many dairy and meat products all over Iceland are processed here. Fishing is also an important form of livelihood. The fastest growing trade, though, is tourism. Husavik was the first place in Iceland to offer whale watching which attracts many visitors today. The country surrounding Husavik is known for its natural wonders and beautiful landscape. Nearby destinations of interest are Akureyri, Lake Myvatn or Godafoss waterfall.
